MARI ON 'THE TODAY SHOW'

We filmed this segment featuring Steve Bridges impersonating President Barack Obama for 'The Today Show' last month and it finally aired this morning. The interview got bumped a few times because of Tiger Wood scandal and the terrible Haiti Earthquake crisis. I am mentioned as the "Makeup Genius" behind the transformation - so embarrassing.

OBAMA IN HOUSTON

I had show in Houston last week. I put more gray in hair. President got a lot of gray hair now. Also he looks more tired this days. Each makeup I have to check how president looks now.

NBC NEWS

We had NBC film shoot last week in NYC. The NBC was follow us beginning of makeup to finish. After finish of makeup we went to city and Steve was walking down in Manhattan. Wow! one second, people were turn, look at him and screaming, taking pictures. The little boy said "I met President! I met President!" after he took picture with him! It was very excited night!

BARACK OBAMA FX

We had show last week in Las Vegas and Steve Bridges is now President Barack Obama!

This show was our first Obama job. I spent 5 hrs to do this makeup. Kazuhiro Tsuji is the person who designed this makeup and he is my best makeup artist friend. This is such a difficult makeup job but I had such a great time.

SEVERE BURN FX

This is a work I've done to create a convincing severe burn makeup. I applied some custom made pieces to give the texture of the burn. I colored the skin to blend it to the model's arm.

GEORGE W. BUSH FX

Steve Bridges who is sometimes George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, and Arnold Schwarzenegger. As you can see, he looks nothing like them, but he is so good at impersonate the ways of they talk and move. My job here is make him as close looking to the original person as possible.

BILL CLINTON FX

28 TO 80 FX

This is my big personal project where I transform young man into an old man.

First, I took photo of my subject then used Photoshop to design the old age face. I took his face cast and sculpt old age face on his plastered face. Once I got finalized the sculture of his old face, I made molds of it. Then, I made gelatin pieces of old age mask. Lastly, I did spend 4 hours applying the pieces to his face and then making up on his face to transform him to a 80 years old man.

All project takes couple of month to finish because, I have full time job and I am working on this during my spare time.

He went to Halloween party with this makeup. People were surprise that old men was dancing crazy!

HALLOWEEN GALS + OLD MAN

I applied beauty makeup on girls and of course for the old man in the back. This is a quick, fun makeup for a Halloween party that me and my friends are attending in Los Angeles, CA.

HIGH SPEED FX

These makeups are done for Comcast, a major high-speed internet company, commercial. As you can see in the photo, there was no wind because the leaves of the tree is not blown.

I applied fake teeth, lips and waved skins around their mouths to show the high-speed concept.

FAT FACE FX

My boss had fat foam pieces so I made my friend's face fat but I left her body normal size.

To test she and I went to the restaurant like this. I was surprise that people couldn't tell what is wrong with her. We just got a lot of stares.
